Currently camping in Matamata, New Zealand (v close to Hobbiton) and set an alarm for 4am but due to the absolute ****ing rain I slept through it so missed the game. Internet is dodgy at this campsite anyway but I woke up telling myself “if we’ve lost its fine theyre top of the league” before Id checked the score. To see we had won 2-1 and come from behind was a bloody incredible feeling. I can only imagine what the atmosphere was like at the Hall. UTB and cannot wait for that D1versity vlog 🦐🦐🦐
 
This bunch are the best coached team I have ever seen at Roots Hall.

I’ve been lucky to be in the company of King Kev recently, and one of the benefits (and there are many and massive drawbacks) to the small squad has been the time spent coaching positions on the football pitch, they all know exactly where they’re supposed to be as a team, at all times. That’s why we won today IMO.

Depends how you look at it. I don't think he had anything to do, and claiming a few crosses should be his bread and butter. Doesn't mean he played badly. Every player starts on a base score of 6 for me, and it goes up and down from there. Argument perhaps that he was worth a 7, but his kicking was a worry and ultimately kept him at a 6 for me 🤷

Everyone done great again but Fonguck and Taylor have been revelations this season. Unbelievable again.

What a team, what a management group, what a fan base. Cant wait to see what happens over the coming months and in the near future.

C'mon you blues!!!!
 
Spoke to @Medway Blue before the game and mentioned how disjointed last week was after the team had had two weeks to relax and had sometime off etc. he mentioned that this is such a close knit group that actually being away from each other and not training etc as normal actually might have a negative impact. Wind on a week and he has a point. That today was the SUFC we have grown to love under Kev and co
 
Great day today. Great crowd, and as has been said, in the past sometimes we have underperformed in the circumstances- not today. If today doesn’t encourage a few back more regularly nothing will.

Two evenly matched sides- they had an advantage in terms of what ££ brings, we cancelled that out through a combination of great recruitment a year ago, and the coaching of a top, too coaching team and manager. Good times are on their way…
 
Well well well that was worth the trip!!! Absolutely brilliant, from the perfectly silently observed minutes silence, right through to the boys and management team's walk of honour. Lovely to see old friends again too.

Only downside is that right now I'm at Stansted waiting for my flight back at silly o'clock as French air traffic control are on strike on Monday so my flight back is cancelled. I managed to rebook for this morning but it does mean no sleep tonight.

But boy what a fantastic afternoon!
