Your local Fire Stn manager who will be in charge of all 4 watches and around 50 staff will earn less than 40k. They will have about 20 years experience, will have been promoted 4 times and be doing a 72 hour week because they are on call of a night.

Made up role eh....how about the CEO of Staffordshire health trust,she was forced to quit her £250,000 job because of parent power,she took her impressive pension and was re employed by the same trust on the same salary in what the media described as a made up role.....over to you Mr.

Have you got a link to that, I have had a bit of difficulty when just searching fror CEO Staffordshire health Trust , and I am really intrigued as to how Parents have any sway over the head of a health organisation .
 
Having furnished folk with facts over the past few months which were perceived as damn right lies by many on here,it becomes tedious trying to convince anyone who frankly doesn't want to listen in the first place.

I don't particularly wish to lose my job by revealing too many specific cases where money is burnt.

The sole reason why many prefer high paid roles in the NHS and councils is because of the generous pension to be had with the option of leaving the role and taking the pension pay out then to be installed in a different role on the same salary.

just a suggestion but why not provide links, generally as long as they are not from some doolally tap site , they can then be reviewed on a factual basis and actually be debated.

If you have read it somewhere , use that source, if its just hearsay then treat it as such .

Yep, Underpaid, but that is no reason to denigrate those whose pay is commensurate .

Wrong trust my bad....Google Katrina Percy Southern health trust.......Staffs if you have read the story is truly shocking how over 1000 patients needlessly died....bad nursing gone wrong,yet those at the top are well looked after.

Not quite, One death was found to be needless , "Ms Percy had stepped down from her previous role as chief of Southern Health amid "media attention" after the trust failed to investigate hundreds of deaths"

Still Unsatisfactory conduct , probably worked out cheaper to pay her off than to go through all the legal costs , rigmarole of an industrial tribunal

Tim Smart admitted no other candidates were offered her role....what does that tell you....made up job or job was always there and waiting for the right person.

I've got to admit I'm a bit confused by this. In previous threads on the NHS, when asked, you have admitted that you don't work for the NHS, so why should your job be in jeopardy?

Take it you never moan about your council tax bill or potholes or bins not being emptied or if you want to contact the police.

Just like the NHS...made up roles paying decent salaries.
