In my opinion the signing of Spinner is the best, most important signing that we have made for such a long time and certainly since we have been back in the third division.
Im my memory as a Shrimper the only bigger signing I can think of is Mike Marsh.
I am talking about influential players who have a pedigree already rather than unknowns who came good such as Stanley Collymore.
Actually Ronnie Whealans signing as a player was a bit special too, shame he had to go and spoil it.

i agree that prior's signing with make a good impact on next seasons performances, with having his experience at the back, but its not all about signing new players, a successful team is one where there is a mixture of "old" and "new" players, such as nicolau, who will hopefully with experience will improve and be able to learn much from prior.
