Save our Southend Stan Collymore Fans Forum Evening Video

How refreshing and how exciting is our future ? at nearly 60 years old I have that warm fuzzy feeling back for SUFC that has been missing for years.

My boycott of the previous regime is over and I can't wait to get back to the Hall ?

You might want to read Stan's latest message!

Finally got round to watching this but, as much as I could listen to Stan all day, I found myself being distracted by the glasses of red wine being swigged in the background .....'wonder if that's a Malbec.....he looks like a Primitivo drinker....ooh that's a nice large glass' (I think I've got a problem).

Afternoon all, I’m off on honeymoon tonight and have a long flight ahead of me. So was hoping to kill a few hours by watching this. Does anyone have a copy they can send me or does anyone know how to download a YouTube video to an iPad?

Watched it late last night, went to bed with my 2006 shirt on and my blue football boots, such was the very motivational style from Stan, if it wasnt so dark i'd have been doing keepy uppys in the back garden. The only trouble with creeping about the house without waking up the family, came when i forget to do up my boot laces and fell face first onto the cat.

Too much information thank you very much SaTV.

I got through it in about 2 or 3 sittings, listening on my phone as I was travelling around this week. Sadly, the second half of the call I felt less positive about what was being proposed as the news was breaking that negotiations were at a deadlock between Stan and the club.

Stan showed he still had a lightning turn of pace to shut down "Sheila" and whatever allegations she was trying to air.

What I'd like to see for the next Zoom is Kev, Darren and Mark, once they've had a bit more time to get their feet under the table.

If you listen to my comment on the video near the end you will hear me speak about this.
Few years back we were a very fractured and an immobilised fan base since then we have had a few different groups form, all these groups do different things, for instance The Blue Voice which is headed up by @TBV_Dan their main concern is generating a good match day atmosphere and what they can do to push the players on during games.
We all support Southend we as groups now all work close together now and have a liaison group that does a superb job gelling all of us together.
Just on the back of Scott's comments - all the supporter groups do different things. Custard Splat do a fantastic podcast which I often find myself listening to in the background, the Exiles support and represent those Shrimpers who live away from the catchment area, Blues on Tour are one of the two away travel coach services on offer at SUFC... the others, of course, are the Trust who are not only the "main" supporters group at the club (so to speak), but they do some fantastic work with the community, our Youth team, amongst various other areas too (won't go into them all). All at Sea produce a fantastic fanzine which offers an alternative view on all going ons at the club, from a fans' perspective, Save our Southend was formed because those fans were incredibly concerned about the immediate future of our club, etc.

The Blue Voice (TBV) is all about match day experience, as well as pushing for a positive, encouraging atmosphere on match days. It's about trying to be inclusive and engage with as many fans as physically possible, irrespective of age or background on match days. Whether that be distributing balloons, streamers etc, waving flags in the West stand, or engaging with young fans who want to get involved with the atmosphere... everything we do, we do it to try and make match days at Roots Hall more inclusive for all, and leave supporters with a lasting impression on our support, and to "make memories", often despite poor performances.

My point is, we all specialise in different areas of expertise, and that is incredibly important. We may not all agree on everything, but at the end of the day, we are ALL Southend United supporters, and we all share the same end goal; we want the best for the club, and want it to succeed. We all meet and discuss everything Southend United on a regular basis, but should the idea be put to us all that we all merged into one big group (which, personally speaking, I don't think would work as well as it currently does), then this should be a decision for all groups to both discuss and vote on.

Similar problem for me. I’m not sure if he’s on the zone, but one of the guys (who has been on these zoom calls before) has a wall clock which I’m absolutely fascinated by. It has a white LED light that builds around the edge of it, representing the seconds ticking by.

It was my missus who pointed it out and once she had, I couldn’t see anything else other than that ?.

That's Ken from Blues on Tour. I too often find myself watching that clock as well.

If you don't have YT premium, there are some websites out there that will let you paste the link and convert it to mp3 so you can listen to it like a podcast.
