In fairness, I don't think that goes far enough back. Ron took over in 1998 didn't he? The charges would have been from before then as I assume he's talking about paying off the debts Vic built up, which would also mean it probably wasn't Roots Hall Limited.

SUFC statement:
Today the Court granted the Club a further 42 days to settle its debt to HMRC and those supporting the winding up petition, those payments will be facilitated by the sale of the Club.
Negotiations are at an advanced stage with a consortium led by an Australian national, and comprising of a group of local businessmen. Completion is targeted before 1 October.
So, we are now 15 days from being wound up according to Judge Prentis. Ron's target of sale completion with the Aussie is just 11 days (8 business days) away. The highlighted bits in red above are a stark reminder of the grave situation we are in. Where is the money coming from to dismiss the petition, if a sale isn't completed?
This is as close to extinction as we have ever been. Exercise the right to use your voice and demonstrate your displeasure towards the "owner".
If not now, then when?...If this is to be our last 15 days as SUFC, then lets make sure as a fanbase we show unity and have all done our bit, rather than go out with little more than a whimper. With any luck, this might be the last couple of weeks or so under Ron's ownership, let's give him the send off he deserves in these next few games.

If he doesn't come out this week and let us know what he's doing to save our club, then next weekend we need over a Thousand fans(Hopefully a few Thousand) protesting outside his house. It's the only thing that disrupts his personal life. It's the only thing that gets his attention. It's the only thing he responds to. It's the only thing that really pees off him and his co-conspirators(His family). Can you imagine the hell his neighbours will give him if that happens.
I think it's clear and obvious. There is no plan to save the club.

Terrific. The only reason I had any idea what was going on last time was because I went to the pub pre match and got handed some tennis balls.
This time I won't have time to go to the pub to find out.
As for the protests. If you want national coverage then you have to think bigger.
Protest outside the national League offices or FA or sky sports and let all and sundry know to get there and what time.
