Zone Update Steve Tilson anniversary

In todays current managerial market, where clubs demand instant success and a managers job is as safe as the German economy a lot of respect has to be paid to the entire staff and our chairman who, even though Tilly is our most successful maager ever, leading us unrivaled success, there has still been boo boys wanting his head. We were a club heading nowhere, languishing at the bottom of League 2 staring the conference in the face. We had a squad lacking quality and ambition and confidence. We were playing pub football and getting swept aside by very average teams.

5 years on from that 4-0 defeat at Yeovil and look what has happened. We are one of the best teams in League 1 afetr putting up a good fight in the Championship. We have beaten the likes of Man Utd and gave Tottenham a scare on their own turf. The likes of Leeds now hate coming to play us knowing that we have the quality to match them. We have basically had 5 seasons of great success and te future looks bright. The academy is now producing and nuturing fantastic young talent. A new stadium is *fingers crossed on its way. We are attracting the young stars from teams like Chelsea and Arsenal. We have a squad we can proud of, who have quality, determination and confidence in abundence. We have a managerial set up which is ever improving and succedding. Our fan base is ever increasing with gates now averaging over double almost triple what it was 5 years ago.

5 years ago we were a team heading towards a footballing grave now we a team that is resurrected. Longing for constant success and thriving in the new environment which has been created by Tilly and Brush.

Long may they reign over us.
