Just interviewed.

Most interesting comment when asked how Collis played he said that is the best he's played so far and justifyied it by saying he claimed a lot of crosses, before only then going onto mention the good saves he made.

Its very reassuring to hear our manager recognise the importance of a goalkeeper coming for crosses and relieving pressure from the defence.

Rest of interview was the "usual lads worked their socks off, like I say" stuff.

Oh dear, this thread is sure to attract wiggy ;)

Good to hear Tilly recognises how important (no that's the wrong word, ESSENTIAL) it is for a keeper to be commanding.

Maybe it will give Flahavan a kick up the backside? I mean people may say he's small and all that, but for me it's more mental than anything else. If Flavs wants to get back between the sticks then he's going to have to come out of his comfort zone and command.

Precisely.

Nice to hear Tilly giving Collis a bit of credit, and not succumbing to the temptation to drop him for his mistake at Blackpool.

Collis never made a mistake at Blackpool for the second goal....He was fouled, the ref just didn't give the foul...Thats what I was talking about

Personally I think thats debatable I've only seen it once but Collis didn't seem to actually jump to try and get the ball he just stuck an arm out. If someone was in his way thats not a foul.

Either way fair play to him he seemed to play well yesterday so it's good bit of management on Tilly's part.
