Could this be just another false alarm though?

Paul Mayo (a left back who has left Watford and snubbed a move to Swindon in favour of a move back to his former club Lincoln) would have been a decent signing for us.
 
Club Call's headlines are normally far from the truth. I wouldn't read anything into it whatsoever.

Very true. It could be anything, such as Dudfield agreeing improved terms, Clubcall just jazz it up to get you to call the premium rate number.

It used to work when I was about 8 too... I'd call expecting some fantastic scoop just to hear John 'windbag' Adams chatting to Dominic 'Lion of Lagos' Iorfa about nothing in particular...
