You do often get classics on the subtitles for the hard of hearing on the TV, such as in last years' World Cup Clive Tydesley's shouted 1-0 Spain was translated with the subtitles as 1-0 Sinn Fein.

However, one I saw today while waiting in a queue at The Nationwide was a belter. IT was on BBC News 24 and the report was on the first woman beefeater at the Tower of London, who started today. On reading the subtitles (sound off in the Building Society) it was clear that the reporter said "The Tower of London hasn't always been the safest of places for women. After all, Anne Boleyn was executed here". However, the subtitle for the second sentence read "After roll, and Berlin was executed here."
