The calendars are always a joke with how many are sold by the time you get to them. They should put those with the longest contracts at the back.

Why oh why do we not run the calender from August to August. Would that not make more sense.

The calendars are always a joke with how many are sold by the time you get to them. They should put those with the longest contracts at the back.

I was kind of hoping that the calendar order was a joke earlier, however judging by the below post it's clearly not.

I've often been criticised here for defending the club, however whoever designed that calendar should get the sack. How the hell can you put a player who's contract is expiring in June, for the month of December? A player who is 40, who will no doubt retire in the summer for October, and a Goalkeeper who's place is already under threat for the following November. It's an absolutely horrendous decision.

I've advocated that myself many times before ... they could even have the fixtures printed on them then too

There must be some logistical reason why it can't be done, even the "big" clubs calenders run like a traditional calender ... but how cool would it be for SUFC to "buck the trend" as it were ... we could be mould breakers for the future of football calenders, or something :tumbleweed:

If it was down to me, out of those players, this is how I'd have lined them up:

January - Clarke............................ July - Revell
February - Furlong......................... August - Betsy
March - Mildenhall.......................... September - Macca
April - Moussa............................... October - Franno
May - Barney.................................November - Dougie
June - Scannell.............................. December - Barrett

I suppose the majority are sold in the run-up to Christmas and people may be less inclined to buy at that time if the calendar lasted 8 months rather than 12.

Agreed, it is incredibly stupid to choose a transfer-listed player to be the face of the club in 13 months time.

Furlong in October is ridiculous as well. He might be under contract but everyone will have forgotten who he was.

I'm just amazed that Richie Foran isn't Mr November.

I think he could stretch to 2 months.
