Sunday Night Virtual Quizzes

Just wondered how people think these are going? We're up to week 8 this weekend and seem to have a fairly consistent group of quizzers taking part.

Out of interest these have been the topics covered so far (and the person/s sorting out the questions):

Week 1 - Music - Cricko
Week 2 - General Knowledge - Numph Girl and Aberdeen_Shrimper
Week 3 - Lyrics - Glasgow SUFC and his missus
Week 4 - 70s Music - Hutton
Week 5 - 80s Music - Genial Harry Grout
Week 6 - Should've been J's History one but Canvey Shrimper did General Knowledge at very short notice
Week 7 - Cartoons - yours truly
Week 8 - Scheduled to be Movies - Numph Girl and Aberdeen_Shrimper

We've got J's History one on the back burner, but wondered if anyone else had any sensible suggestions for possible future subjects?

I'm quite happy to do one on TV quotes at some point in the future, anything else?

Do you know, my son said that yesterday. He was up for setting a whole wrestling quiz but I said it might be a bit too specialised - I think a few of the regulars might feel a bit excluded! It could be extended into a sports one I suppose, with maybe a round on wrestling.

What do people feel about a Food and Drink type one? Shame we can't do tasting and testing, but there's only so far you can go with a virtual quiz!

Preferable to grown up men "pretending" to have a fight when all oiled up in skin tight pants. Sounds like a night down Pink Punters if you ask me....

Takes all sorts though Paul, remember Rich's lyrics round had sections on 70s/80s/90s and noughties - if it's only one round out of a whole quiz it didn't ought to be a problem, and besides, you know you'd walk one on food and drink!

I can do Dr Who, no probs - used to love Jon Pertwee! The rest I might have picked up just from being brainwashed - wouldn't rule it out as an idea at all. :p

I think we catered for the masses pretty well in both our cases, Rich! :cool:

I would be happy to have a go at one. Only one mind you, seeing as I have got some heavy ground to make up on all you lot. Still we all know about the tortise and hare and unfortuntely I am the tortise (or more probably the snail) on this.

I don't think the subjects of the quiz should be too specialist though - jeez I would not have a hope in hell.

I could do one on health/medicine etc

I have only done a couple and scored a total of 1 point. However, while not particularly good they are pretty good fun.

A well done to those who go to the trouble of setting the questions and to those scoring aswell.

I think its a welcome addition and would encourage anyone to wander in and have a look. Some of the answers on offer are quite amusing....
