Bentley,
O'Neill, Thompson, Prosser, Coker,
Worrall, Leonard, Deegan, Timlin,
Hunt, Barnett

Subs: T. Smith, Bolger, Barrett, Atkinson, Hurst, Payne, Mooney

White and McLaughlin out, Barnett gets his debut, 6 changes.

Harsh on Payne but system change definitely needed.

Really decent looking team that. Got a good feeling for this one.

Not a bad team. Looks like Worrall will have to supply the crosses for Barnett to score, unless Coker gets forward.
Also, a big kick up the wotsit for any players that thought their place in the starting eleven was safe. Just what they needed.

Sounds a good line up given recent results. It will be interesting to see how defensively 'we will not concede' it is. Just need Barnett and Hunt to get two a piece and it should be a happy ShrimperZone for a few days.

You know this is ShrimperZone right? We could win 6-0 with Barnett and Hunt both getting hattricks and there'd still be criticism on here!

Jason Williams would have scored 4.

Hence the 'few days' proviso. And Prosser better have a good game or 'there will be blood'.

Yup, bet Lenny must have been fearing the worse, but he's managed to keep his place.....

Interested to see Atkinson makes the bench and no surprise that Timlin returns against his old club. Red card for Deegs anyone ?

Team news: Six changes for Blues at Swindon

SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has made six changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s clash at Swindon Town.

Judging by the SZ poll, Leonard has been the best player for us this season. My guess is that Brown agrees. For that reason it's probably understandable that he has kept his place, along with Hunt, Bentley and Coker (three other important players for us).

Lenny always keeps his place no matter how bad his form is. It's probably because when he's good, he's very good and we win with him driving through the middle or making brilliant tackles. Plus, he is Grant mark 2, and wins some good free kicks with the odd dive.
