Tim Buckley - Song to the Siren
Simple, haunting, beautiful - he never wrote a better song

The Magnetic Fields
Take your pick from almost anything on the "69 Love Songs" album - "Busby Berkeley Dreams", "Grand Canyon" and "Come Back From San Francisco" always get me

Nick Drake - Northern Sky
It simply doesn't get any better than this in the love song stakes - if this doesn't move you, you're probably dead

Miles Davis - I Loves You Porgy
Miles says it all with only his trumpet (ooh-er!) - Nina Simone's version is also wonderful

Come on you romantic fools, let's have yours...

glen medieros - nothings going to change my love for you.

im about to be all sad and romantic but this song always sends a shiver, the missus loves it so it has a sentimental value to me.

You're the First, the Last, My Everything - Barry White... legendary stuff from the Walrus of Love.

Best of My Love - The Emotions... top lyrics in a funky song.

It's Oh So Quiet - Björk... a superbly nutty love song from the Icelandic songstress

I've Got You Under My Skin - Frank Sinatra... a great song about unrequited love; Shirley Bassey also did a superb version.

Je T'Aime (Moi Non Plus) - Serge Gainsbourg... if there's been a more libidinous song ever written, I haven't heard it.

But, mushy-est of all on Valentine's Day - let's leave it to Ella:

With A Song In My Heart - Ella Fitzgerald... if a slow dance to that song doesn't melt your missus, then you'd better check for a pulse!

Personally would have to go with the modern day bonnie and clyde style

Me and you versus the World by Space
