Erm ... you seem to forget the big noise made a few years ago by many, many local businesses who were rightly concerned that a new stadium complex would actually REMOVE money from the High Street and therefore place the whole economic balance of the town on a very delicate balance; as a result the fear was that there would actually be an INCREASE in unemployment in the area as many struggling local businesses were forced to make cut-backs or even close entirely. There can only be so many jobs on a stadium complex, perhaps FEWER than those jobs lost in the High Street which would create that negative difference in employment. Please don't think that a new stadium complex is going to be the 'saviour' of local business. That's extremely naive to do so.
