read the SSN news report posted on here about all the ins and outs in league one - it seems clear that the market is stagnant no-one is moving yet -

given James Walker cost us good money an Barney must be on good money
how much would you expect Tilson to now have at his disposal to blow begore the window closes.

on the plus side is the money from the transfers .... Hooper, Chas Mac, and the money saved on wages Gower and Flav.

on the down side hes got holes all over the park, LB, wide left, wide right -

and as an uncertainty is the possible significant income from a possible sale
of Bailey.

so whats the estimates - 100k to get somme jounetmen in - or 400k on a couple of hot prospects - or more or less - I haven't got a clue

what do you think?

I have no idea what kind of budget Tilly has but I don't think it would be massive. This means IMO there are two options. The first is to gamble on some young non league prospects and bring in 5 or 6 players on low wages giving us decent cover with maybe some weaker areas in the 1st XI. The other is to get in two decent players (prob LB & LW, as Scannel can prob fill RW) and have a youthful bench. This would give us a good first XI but little to cover injuries/suspensions. I would preffer the later of the two, with some of the youngsters getting a few games.

I think its less about how much money is available and more about how many players are available at a realistic amounts who would want to sign for us.

Bearing in mind we are only "bigger" than league two and about 16 clubs in league Two theres not a huge amount to choose from.

Not just this division, the Premeir is quiet as well, just a load of rumours. Once two or three big moves go down maybe it will all come to life.
