First XI
thought was top class i actully had a tear in my eye when we was singing one stevie tilson no some people disagree but id take him back in a hearbeat class act never see sturock clap the fans . legend!!!

Was pretty emotional. Glad to see a Tilly 'n' Brush chat going as Brush was involved in the management team.

Sturrock gave us a wave, isn't that enough :winking:.

you weren't the only one who had a tear. 3 of us old hardend football supporters, all admited we had a tear in our eyes at the end. We are all 50 plus and wouldn't
normally admit that kind of thing to each other!

Direct quote I believe was that "it made the hairs on my neck stand on end.....like I say."

I had the pleasure of sitting in the echo stand.... 6 seats from Ron martin and the look on the @@@@@ face when Tilly celebrated the winning goal was priceless.. Well worth the 3 hour drive.. First time I have seen the blues this season and what a mess mr Martin has caused.. I pray rons actions have not wrecked the chance of a return one day... "ONE STEVIE TILSON"

So you went to support Lincoln I take it. If ANY Blues fan enjoyed Tilly celebrated the winning goal, they are supporting the wrong club.

DWB- I know where you are coming from but I must admit am sure Tilly was jumping for joy and If i was there i would of looked over as well as he has been treated very badly by Mr. Martin and I think I also would of liked to seen Ron face.
Still wanted the blues to win but I hate Martin with so much passion.
No abusing you or swearing in my post!!

Don't begrudge Tilson and Brush the win, especially bearing in mind we aren't play off material and the result shouldn't have a big impact on our season. For me, sometimes things go beyond the football, and I would suspect the 5 minutes after the final whistle meant a great deal to many of the 1000 fans we took; myself included. I hope you were embarrassed Ron Martin, the clubs fans shamed you yesterday.

Also thought Paul Sturrock played it well, he came out long after Tilson and headed straight off after the final whistle, he clearly acknowledged the situation and let nature take its course. Bravo!

Give it a rest now Phil.

Give what a rest John? A Blues fan has openly posted that he enjoyed Tilly celebrating a winning goal and I'm not allowed to express the opinion that I don't think enjoying Tilly celebrating a winning goal is something a Blues fan should be doing. Don't abuse your power on here John, I'm not swearing, ranting or abusing anyone. I know how much you love Tilly and hate Ron, so you also were more than likely celebrating a Lincoln win. Dick Bate's Protege doesn't begrudge Tilly and Brush a win against us, that is not the talk of a Blues fan I'm afraid. No matter who it was, I'd never want them to beat the Blues.

I managed to get a photo (close up of his face and not his bum I might add) of Tilly at the end when he came over and he most certainly did look as if he had a tear in his eye

Thanks,it just irks me so much that people are happy seeing Lincoln beat the Blues. Tilly did deserve the presentation yesterday, but not 3 points.

Lol, erm I think that is probably impossible if you think about it....You have jumped on Tilly and what he meant to fans at every opportunity these past few weeks...Can you not just give the fans one day to celebrate what we feel he brought to the club and what he meant to certain people without your added opinion.

Edit:...I was not celebrating a Lincoln win,the match was of little importance to me.

He did well for us, he had good times, he had bad times. To me he isn't a legend, to some he is. Some felt they needed to buy him a present to say thank you for 7 years managing the Blues, even tho (for the majority of the time anyway) he was paid to do his job. That's all fine. For people to say they are pleased Tilly got 3 points and were happy to see him celebrate is ridiculous. Point made, enough said. No more from me unless provoked to post about it.
