How can it be serious enough for prison, yet only 4 points and £80 lol.

Surely the prison sentence is for perverting the course of justice, and the points and £80 for the driving offence(s)?

Silly boy. I get the feeling Mr Timlin isn't your usual prison fodder, and this experience may affect him more than it does many others.

So Timlin has been up before the beak and has got some bird according to a tweet I read, wonder if his leg injury will be re-diagnosed as a Jail Break. :winking:

Idiot! At least his court appearance and sentence have happened in the close season and while he's on his way back from injury... Could have been much worse, it could have been in the middle of the campaign a'la Ryan Hall! At least PB has the opportunity to assess the whole situation in relation to the squad, and he will make a decision based on this. If Tims figures in the boss's plans, he has nothing to worry about.

IF he does stay at the club, chances are he won't be in any fit state at the start of the season, the emotional toll on him is likely to be huge. He is a family man, so just that forced separation from his family will have a massive impact.

Very lucky indeed .You would have thought he would have a years ban from driving but 4 points that nothing .And as for him staying fit I would have thought the prison would have a gym of some sorts .

I reckon Mohsni was in Timlins car when he was cut up. Mohsni took exception, pulled out some scissors and then the other car's driver and passengers got angry so Timlin drove off at speed, got caught... blah blah blah.

Seems plausible.

I hope the prison service have duly been made aware of Timlin's nutritional and dietary needs :stunned:

Heard this on the radio driving this morning. Southend to support him.

A silly silly mistake - he isn't the first and won't be the last. I'm sure this will be a kick up the backside for him. I'm glad the club are supporting him - an individual error which shouldn't damage the club's reputation and I am sure he will bounce back from this determined to do his talking on the field of play!

@CJPhillips1982: Bilel Mohsni twice took the rap for Michael Timlin when he was caught speeding. Full story in today's Echo @Essex_Echo @SUFCRootsHall

@CJPhillips1982: Timlin thought that people not from the uk could not be given points.

Unbloodybelievable!
