If people think he's a better option than mildenhall they need their heads examined, woeful performance, couldn't kick or catch and was in no mans land for their corners.

One performance doesn;t maketh the man , think he has proved over his career that he is good enough for our level - just look at Jack Butland , he has the worst keeper i have seen over the hall last season in that horror show of a game and now look at him , he looked a world beater playing for GB at times .

He is cracking on a bit now mate. Butland is learning the trade and is only going to get better. Warner is a bit old now and maybe past is best I dont know.

Surprised that we haven't heard from Wiggy about this guy. He/she normally has an opinion on Southend's goalkeepers.:winking:

Richard Wright is still available. Wants to stay in E Anglia and been training with farmers.

No doubt we can't afford him....but if you want a keeper who might come & few could complain about..

Brezovan won't be getting a game at Brighton in the near future now they have Kuszczak.

They've got Casper Ankergren on their books too so you would think one of them would go out on a season long loan to keep match fit

Mods, can we take the "breaking news" off this thread now please? It's been and gone so has "broken" and departed!

Hi all.. Tony had a good game for us against st mirren in a friendly.. he would be a good back up warming the bench, and would help bring any young keepers on as well.. so if you don't want him we'll have him:smile:

Tony Warner did well in the A-League with Wellington Phoenix last season, he played most games until he got dropped to the bench with a quarter of the season to go and stayed there! He would be a good goalkeeper for League 2 imo
