Transfer News, Gossip & Speculation Transfer Thread - Summer 2025 Edition.

Transfer news
I have a feeling Innis will end up with us next season
I don't see this as being probable in the slightest, but Inniss would be an unreal signing. I can't find the duration of his FGR contract anywhere (signed in 2023), but it wouldn't surprise me if he did depart New Lawn; his post-match interview against us seemed to leave all options open...

Cant see it happening but would like pepple with bonne hopper and kendal.
Would also like either golding or Innis and keep goodliffe.
Then a LWB with speed and that would do for me.
Hmm not sure that squad gets near the top 3 which is surely what we are aiming for. We need a better front 4 (no, I'd not replace all 4!) - more pace needed, someone who isn't frightened of putting their laces through it when they have a half chance. I think we need a couple of additions in MF as well, plus a couple of CB's (Innis/Golding would do, or similar - big physical lads). Gubbins/Crowther are back up options IMO and I think Goodliffe will go. We need squad depth, could be permanent could be loans .. but we need competition .. nobody being 1st name on the team sheet.

Come on guys be realistic. As much as I would like it there is no chance we get Jimi Gower. He is far too good and has recently been on the Arsenal bench numerous times inc away at the Bernabeu. Can see him going to a Championship club at work.

Can we also give new suggestions rather than also just recirculating players that we have had previously. It is so boring.

I think your wrong look at the second half of last season we had top 4 form

Jimi Gower? Just left Arsenal and was a Southend Youth academy player. Might be good as a long term development midfielder.

Not to mention that his dad might just be mates with Kev.
thats funny, i spoke to both of them on Sunday in Boxpark. No mention of him leaving Arsenal and mentioned ho wimporssive he looked in Kevs testimonial, but that was only a glorified mates kick around of course

Fair enough, just my opinion. We were way off Barnet/York. I don’t think Gus (if he’s even here) scores that many again. I’m not slating the current squad just think we need some top quality players added in, to challenge..turn those draws into wins.

Perhaps if I’m not mistaken, hasn’t Innis had plenty of lengthy injuries previously.
I’m sure if I’m wrong some kind in the know poster will correct me. 👍

Shawn McCoulsky leaving Maidenhead to take up an opportunity in a higher division.

Woking or Wealdstone maybe?

143 Appearances, 65 starts, 32 goals.

Not what we need me thinks.
15 goals in 36 starts last season for a relegated team. A far better record than any of our strikers.

Still not sure that means he’s someone we should be looking at, but will probably find himself a better club than Woking or Wealdstone.

Mainly agree with this. Not 100% sure on Bonne but I'll trust Kev's judgement. Hopper & Kendal I would definitely keep. Don't understand why people can't see what Hopper brings to the team. Ok he's not a 20 goal a season striker any more but his game is about a lot more than goals. But yes we do need another goalscorer alongside Kendal. Bim would be brillient but can't see it happening.

Would definitely keep GSM, and agree about Goodliffe. I'd also keep Crowther, which I know puts me in a minority of one, but I just think there's a player in there if he gets a decent run in the side. But Golding would be an upgrade on both I agree.

Interesting few weeks ahead!
