Why go for one, let’s get them both!

But Kawa has less than a goal every three games for the team that finished bottom of the league below! Sounds great! Why go for one, let’s get them both!
Have a day off triggerSpasov, at £5k transfer fee, will be out of our price range.
Nah, but thanks.Have a day off trigger
Some good analysis of Spasov in this article. Sounds like he has the kind of attributes that Maher would like. Has a good pedigree as came through the ranks at Oxford where he would have been a contemporary of Leon Chambers-Parillon (of course they went on to play at Slough together too). He's got a bit of National League experience too as he spent some time on loan at Woking from Oxford when he was 18.

In The Spotlight #26 – Slavi Spasov
Welcome to Episode #2 in Series #2 of In The Spotlight, as I try to shine a light on the best young talent in non-league. Today, the player that is going under the microscope is Slough Town forward…offtheline599656488.wordpress.com
That’s the type of thing where it may help that he was at Oxford with James Golding and Slough with Leon Parillon. You’d like to think those two would be saying how great it is to be at Southend.Suggested Spasov. He'd be a great signing IMO, physical and well coached over at Slough with some really nice potential upside to his game. For a nominal fee, he'd be a no-brainer signing if we can beat the competition (I've heard quite a few teams are looking at him...).
He got 11 in 23 starts and 10 sub appearances. Sounds more than decent enough for a 20 year old in a struggling side. But Kawa has less than a goal every three games for the team that finished bottom of the league below! Sounds great!
Yep. One of those who allows others to play. An effective player, if not always an easy one to watch. We've been much a better side since we signed him. The facts speak a thousand words
The majority of these, at the time they were signed, moved the team forwards. Powell for example was a breath of fresh air - all be it short lived. But you're right that the two with the most quality were probably the 2 we loaned in. That's the way it is in this league - many of the best players are loaned from above. Need to factor that into our recruitment. One quick, one physical. Hopefully one comes along that’s both. We’ve signed Powell, Wreh, Cardwell, Waldron, Walker, Bonne, Hopper, Kendall, Wood. Maybe we should just borrow again like Dennis and Pepple.
Hopefully, they'll realise Brooklyn is talking about our club under very different circumstances. That’s the type of thing where it may help that he was at Oxford with James Golding and Slough with Leon Parillon. You’d like to think those two would be saying how great it is to be at Southend.
I like the sound of him in that off the line blog as a mixture of hard working and technical ability in that Off The Line blog post although I wasn’t blown away by the accompanying video footage.

Interestingly 9 of his 11 goals were at home and the other two were at Chesham and Hemel so maybe he doesn’t travel particularly well.
He probably profiles more as someone who will help us from the bench next season but I think we lack pace and he offers that. It would be really handy to have someone pacy and direct to bring off the bench.
Brooklyn Kabongolo may give a less glowing recommendation than Golding and Parillon though.
As long as Kawa doesn't have Kabongolos dad as an agent he should be fineThat’s the type of thing where it may help that he was at Oxford with James Golding and Slough with Leon Parillon. You’d like to think those two would be saying how great it is to be at Southend.
