No football club, especially one in the EFL, bases their recruitment & then offers a player a wage in excess of £1.5k p/w solely on the basis of my tweets. That’s not how football works.
The EFL club offered Cashman a deal just before my first tweet went out. We then apparently found out later this evening. My tweet had no influence on another club coming in for Danny Cashman. I’m sorry that doesn’t fit your agenda.
He had a better offer and an opportunity to play EFL football. The club are already targeting a different player who has an exciting and similar profile. I’ll try not to say anymore in case Barnet et al are monitoring my posts

Appreciate the work you do, just one person's feedback. I wasn't saying you caused the deal to collapse, more just that the wording that we're set to win the race would be one I'd personally hold back until its signed. I guess partly due to frustration on missing out on what would have been a real coup.
But of course totally up to you on how you handle things, just my thoughts.

The failure of this deal is on the board who dithered wanting their data. Good people but lacking experience at running a club at this level. Let's hope they learn and of course there are plenty of fish in the sea...

COSU have showed in other scenarios since coming in they are willing to learn very quickly and put it right so I have faith they will on the transfer front as well. Still early in the summer, let’s not see an over reaction from fans just yet. We will be talking to multiple players in each position and I can’t see it being too long until we get some positive news
The reality of where we find ourselves now. We can’t compete with L2 clubs. The offer of playing in front of 7-8000 fans in the NL doesn’t cut it against the offer of EFL football. Unless of course you have a huge pot of cash like Wrexham/Stockport etc.

We don't have a massive budget, so signings need to be smart and well thought out. This is how our transfer committee works.
