Trouble at Edgeley Park ground.

Our next opponents at the 'Hall,Stockport County,had an eventful day yesterday.
Playing Oldham at home in their 3-1 win,Oldham scoring first and scenes of joyous celebration amongst the Latic's away support to which a response of AKA "go away" from the County fans.In reply the Latic's came back with the age-old "come and have a go if..."chant.
Trouble was,the County fans DID as they leapt over seating in the Cheadle End and waded in.Eye witnesses saw approx 50 of them on the attack,many wearing scarfs and shirts (not renown as hardcore firm types) and many unrecognisable as troublemakers!

Rumour has it that a half-bitten ear was found at half-time!

Police were slow to attend the scene as they were responding to an incident from outside the ground at the time.

I would imagine CCTV will catch many of the Stockport/Oldham fans that caused trouble. Lets face it they are not the biggest supported clubs, if they were regulars wearing shirts & scarfs then they will be easy to spot at future games.

I doubt the 400 or so Stockport fans that will travel down next Saturday will give us any problems.

To be fair, Stockport v. Oldham is a bit of a local grudge match, isn't it? South Mancs vs. East Mancs.... and with Oldham having lorded it over their southern Mancunian neighbours for a long time.

I can't really see them (a) travelling down in numbers or (b) turning up with a grudge against us, in particular (unless they're still p*ssed off at us off-loading Tes Bramble on them).

One fan on Football Forums said that, there was Oldham fans in the home end. When Oldham scored the Oldham fans when wild, and started goading the Stockport fans. Which they didn't take to kindly to
