Just looking at buying a new tv from Amazon (LG 47LH3000). Does anyone think its worth buying extended warranty or know any good ideas of where to get it cheap? I know John Lewis do 5 year free but unfortunately they don't do this TV and Richer Sounds have been getting bad reviews.

Any advice welcome.

Are you with Barclays? If you are, account holders get extended warranty free of charge on electricals if you register them, which you can do online fairly easily.

Extended Warranty's are never worth the money. This is where the likes of Curries and Comet make a big % of their profits. Invariably the warranty period lapses without problems and then thats money down the drain. Save your money for a replacement in a few years time when the prices will have come down anyway.
