a strong line up:

Smith, Bwomono, Inniss, Ferdinand, Sokolik, Kyprianou, O'Neill, Wordsworth, Bridge, Batlokwa, Fortune
Subs: Phillips, Matsuzaka, Salami, Bedford, Cotton & Walker

1-1 Dan Walker scored with first touch. Phil Brown, Timlin watching as well as ex shrimper Guttridge. Fortune having an average game according to Chris.

Why on earth are we persisting with Fortune. The guy is gash. Would rather one of the youngsters be given a go.

Good to see Dan Walker get some minutes and a goal against good opposition. Same for Ted Smith as well.

Why on earth were still looking at Fortune I don't know.

I'm assuming we're looking at Fortune because Brown's realised Williams is non league standard, which leaves us with 2 strikers until Ranger is fit. Fortune is probably just desperation to get a striker in as back up in case we get another injury. we should have been looking for back up during the window instead of focusing on a star signing (Simpson) which didn't materialise.

And it ends 1-1 with Smith and Inniss both producing excellent performances according to Chris Phillips. I wonder what that will mean for Saturday?

Very encouraging about Inniss.

Sounds a good fit for Thompson, possibly, as time goes on.

Maybe a couple more games as sub and an Under 21's, plus the Check-a-trade on 4th October and he should be ready.
