...This goes down, in my books, as a rare but huge error on Tilly's part. Although the focus has been on the last week, we've had all summer to sign MUCH needed cover Upfront and who have we got? An ageing Striker who's here for a Season and is not fully fit.

Eastwood's ban and Gray's injury (Don't know the seriousness of it) has left us with 1 forward, The Goat. I'm not knocking The Goat, he's been a useful player for us since he came, and I'm not knocking Tilly since he's done nothing but good since he took over... But i do reckon with our promotion (in both League and Appeal) tied with our apparent extra funds (Which appears to be £175,000 transfer budget since Thats what we bid for Beckett, and The total of the 2 bids yesterday) We should have done better than just Goater.

I believe according to league rules we can only actually get in "emergency" loan players, in other words if our keeper gets injured we are allowed to bring in another as cover, but not for outfield players. I'd imagine emergency also means that we don't have enough fit registered players to fill a matchday squad. Perhaps Statski will get a game!!
