my pc froze up earlier and now just has a blue screen and displays the following: A problem has bn detected and windows has bn shut down to prevent damage to yiur computer. If this is the first time youve seen this screen the restart. If the screen appears again follow the steps. Dsable or uninstall any anti virus , disc defragmentation or back up utilities. Check hard drive configerations , check for any update drives chk/dsk/f to check for hard drive corruption and restart. Technical info stop : oxoopop24 (oxoo190203' 0x823acbi8). Any help would greatfully recieved.

Try restarting it in safe mode (press F8 when its loading up) and opting for last configuration that worked. And then stop trying to view pron.

Tried to restart from last save point but no joy. Still get same blue screen and error message.

Try running a repair of Windows by putting in the CD that you got with the PC? Otherwise may look like a reinstall.

have you installed any new hardware lately? ie graphics card etc, one thing to try is to unplug the CD drive, try a reboot.. unplug the graphics card (you'll need a spare to try out) and try a reboot... unplug the sound card and try a reboot... It could also be a dead stick of ram so try taking them out one at a time, and re-booting, its a faff but if you get it working you can then back up!!
and safe mode is a good bet, as well as using the repair console of the windows CD. failing that, keep trying. boot into last known configuration, then safe mode then last known, etc etc
windows sometimes has a habit of somehow starting itself up again for unknown reasons if you keep trying.
good luck!
