As all the teams who could go above us are playing away games, keep everything crossed includeing the nutts boys, painful I know but do it for the lads.

Long way to go yet John - this is a pretty weak standard in league two this season in terms of there being no real stand out sides who will run away with the promotion places. With 10/11 teams being in the mix at this stage, it means that points will be dropped each week thus letting us off the hook for our losses to date.

If we could put together a cheeky 10 game unbeaten run at some stage (with 6/7 wins) then that could be enough to nick a top three spot.

While we're under an embargo and limited to 20 players the likelihood of injuries and suspensions make that extremely unlikely,IMO.

Personally, I feel we're going to miss out on the play offs for the same reason.

Of course - a huge element of luck is required in terms of injuries, maybe better discipline in terms of suspensions.

It can happen though with a small squad, look at those two back to back promotions under Tilly - we managed to avoid injuries and suspensions really well which played a huge factor in the success.

Like I said, as it is a weaker league (as it was during our promotions), it could work out. I would take a play off place if offered now of course.

This........to be successful in this league this season you just have to time ya form.....last two months of the season and I think thats it. Keep in touch for now then boom.

Other Results today

Some good results for us today, Oxford, Rochdale, Exeter, Burton Newport and Daggers all lost!

Indeed. This year this league is rather topsy-turvy. However, watch out for Fleetwood as they have the resources and squad to go the distance when the going gets tough. We are rather thread bare in that department.

think your right - once the window opens in Jan we could be left behind as teams like Fleetwood splash the cash
