Wembley tickets

I had a season ticket for 13 years before I went to University and went to home & away games this year while not being able to afford it. How come season ticket holders didn’t get first dibs to FGR away above non season ticket holders who went away to Rochdale if thats ā€œhow it isā€?

The point is irrelevant, it isn’t about ST holders. They shouldn’t be able to buy 4 tickets for non ST holders while the allocation was that small. If its increased fill your boots but do it in general sale like everyone else.

You expect people to pay Ā£400 on the off chance we might make the play offs, on the off chance we’ll get a poor allocation on top of following away from home? Isn’t feasible for everyone. The high horse from some people is ridiculous that they can’t

Every club in the country prioritises season ticket holders.

Let’s not pretend they buy them for guaranteed access to high profile games, especially at this level.

I have never held a season ticket but respect the dedication of those that do. They make a bigger commitment than those who martyr themselves at doing Boston away.

If I can’t get a ticket so be it. I’ll still catch the game on TV.

You love the club but then say you don’t care whether we win or not …. Blimey
I get you are disappointed that you may not be able to go but take it out on the NL not on the players and fans that will be inside the ground. Anyone wishing on us not to win is not a fan
100%
The fans and the club have been dumped on. Royally. The NL board should absolutely be the sole target and the Oldham CEO in particular who might not have even told his own club (at least the fans). If I was an Oldham fan I would be absolutely spitting feathers to be treated like that..he must have told the club though…surely

Whilst it probably won't directly affect the players and their immediate family, I hope that given the close connection that's built up between the team and the fans over this recent period, maybe kev can use it to strengthen the current seige mentality even more, because my view is we are far more affected by the cap than oldham, due to our proximity to wembley.
I'd like a 'give it to Oldham for our fans' attitude. Especially as it appears their ceo must have known about this cap but didn't share the info. It wouldn't be a surprise if strangely they've got loads of coaches pre-organised.

Confirmed in this thread that the National League have been aware of the capacity cap for months. If anyone had any doubts about who is to blame, this proves the blame lies solely with the National League and the incompetent ****s that run it.
Interesting that one of the NL Directors is Darren Royal (Oldham) - he MUST have known about this? Explains why they started with a higher proportion than us ....

Hell of a queue at Boundary Park for tickets.

This whole charade is disgraceful. Don't agree with the club letting season ticket holders having 4 tickets. Should have been 2 Max. There are many loyal fans all around the country. I have loved this club for 53 years and still go to many away games with my 89 year old Dad, who was watching them pre-Roots hall days. People who don't live close and are genuine fans are being punished for not living in Essex. I can bet that many for those 4 tickets per season ticket holders are going to people who want a day out at Wembley and not bothered whether we win or not. I love this club and always will but this is leaving a very bitter taste in my mouth indeed. I don't believe the club has handled the situation very well. This would have probably have been my Dads last ever Southend game. Also I have got the car park at Wembley booked. Are the club going to reimburse everyone who can't go. I don't think so. I am not sure I want them to win now as its looking like we won't be there. I do not want to hear where everyone will be sitting. Its just winding everyone up, please stop.
Loyal fans don’t keep the lights on in close season and enable clubs plan their budgets. Season ticket holders do.

On Weds night there was a match report on the Natl League website stating FGR had reached the final after winning 2-1 !! After a couple of minutes that report was removed….says it all about how amateurish they are as an organisation.
It says that the person responsible ****ed off down the pub.

The Matt Slater twitter thread is interesting, but mostly backwards looking. I hope if/when Kahn and the MP's get involved then the pressure may mean a better solution than coach tickets becomes available.
After that thread, Matt Slater then posted statements from both TFL and Wembley Stadium (which I assume have been made today). Neither of which seemed particularly encouraging in terms of extra non-coach tickets becoming available.

I had the same but managed to change and get in. Please don't stress (i did and then couldn't think straight) have you tried the app?
It is really testing my patience....and my sanity! Opened a new account in my daughter's name and the same 'Sorry there was a error' keeps on coming up. (Should I have ticked to accept their publicity?) Don't know what else to do!

Imagine if knowing in advance but keeping quiet resulted in a head start on getting all those coaches organised- just imagine Kev’s team talk….
