This is because of the closure of Wembley Park station.
Engineering works, especially across four tracks as in this case, are a major logistical coordination challenge and would have had to be planned several months ago. I think you should be blaming the FA / Wembley and National League for (more recently) selecting a Final Date with inadequate liaison.Embarrassing. TFL should sort their **** out and postpone the works.
Is this another example of H&S at its best ??
I'm pretty sure that Wembley have to advise TFL of any significant events at the earliest possible date
Quite the opposite, at this rate sounds like we're only going to get one tier!5 tier Policing
Exactly, the last few years haven't really seen 2 clubs with big support, possibly notts county and Chesterfield but I think that was around 38k which is 17.5 each. Id imagine Wembley are never expecting a bigger crowd than that, which is poor from them, however I can't see Wembley selling out, possibly 25-30k max each clubIt only became a significant event when we and Oldham got through to the final.
Wasn't making reference to our fantastic support.Average attendance 2013/14 6024

In the end you sell the tickets as normal and fans have to work around it. That is less embarrassing than a combination of the league, FA and TFL resulting in nearly half of fans from both clubs having a Wembley final taken away from them.Engineering works, especially across four tracks as in this case, are a major logistical coordination challenge and would have had to be planned several months ago. I'm similar. Just hope I and the grandsons can get tickets or I'll have a car park space for sale!Im getting a horrible feeling about this. Ive already forked out 40 quid for the car park, without even knowing whether im going to get one ticket yet let alone the half dozen the family seem to be adding to each hour. The bloody cat will get in on it next if im not careful. I haven't even thought about how we're all going to sit together or what bloody colour balloons to buy.![]()
Understand- I thought you were wondering if we would exceed 2015 final numbers as we were in L2 then- I was pointing out attendances are now 20% higher so probably.Wasn't making reference to our fantastic support.
More of a case that NFL/Wembley don't expect as much support from a National League final versus a League 2 final.
I know. I’m just wondering what we’d roughly expect to take. Think it was about 20k but can’t really rememberShouldn't make a difference but we were in EFL League 2 for that game
see Iv heard initially 17.5 and can go up to 30k if neededI've heard 17.5k each limited due to health and safety.
Ive also heard c2c are looking into running several train direct to wembley
