It's funny I bump into quite a few West Ham fans, a lot of the time they have nice things to say about SUFC and they always know the scores, I think a lot of people live in the past, with the total dislike for them, move on it's a bore.

Does anyone work on bump into hammers fans who say compliments about SUFC?

I see many, even up here, but I daren't approach them just in case they give me AIDS, and it's not even the good AIDS.

I posted this in 2014 and it still applies, in fact even more so now they've moved to Stratford. Both of our train lines from Southend go there on weekends in 50 minutes. How can they not be our biggest enemy?

They are the club which threatens Southend United, our territory and our fanbase the greatest. There is every reason to dislike them. It's not about feeling inferior or not as good, nobody cares that they are much bigger/better than us, it's about being realistic that those *******s actively seek our territory and fanbase to recruit support.

I'm more than happy to say something nice about West Ham.

First there are their supporters.... actually best not go there if I'm looking for something nice to say about them.

So let's look instead at their ground - although I suppose more accurately our ground, since it was paid for by taxpayers and leased to them on an appalling and untransparent deal - so not the best example, especially as it's a terrible football stadium. Let's try something else.

Player wise I suppose they've got Payet who was superb in the Euros, albeit for France. Hang on, they've sold him so I can't think of a single player of theirs that I rate or like.

OK, let's look at their owners instead - no, that's not going to work either since the pornographers Sullivan and Gold are the ***** who poached B***y F*y.

We should be grateful for all the ex-players they've given us - Jereon Boere, Darren Blewitt, George Parris, Alvin Martin as manager.... hmmm.... not sure gratitude is the appropriate noun here.

This is actually really difficult. I'm struggling for a single redeeming or even likeable feature.

Their clubshop provided a convenient late night urinal in the late 90s?

Clubs poach players and managers all the time through back handed methods.... it's nothing new.... when Gold and Sullivan left Birmingham City, apparently the club was in the best financial state for 30 years.... can we say that about Ron and the clubs financial state?

From the Trust's Liaison Meeting Minutes just a couple of weeks ago...pretty close!
from the Minutes Ron Martin said said:
Club Finances
RM reported that all wages are up to date and HMRC have been paid. The latest petition issued by HMRC against us had been issued when our payment was just one day late. RM assured those present that this has now been satisfied – and the Petition dismissed. He added that this has been the most successful financial year in the last decade.

I haven't seen such a feeble defence since Stanley Victor Collymore was skinning Steve Potts down the W*** H** right to tee up Brettie Angell to smash past Ludo Miklosko off the underside of the bar and give the mighty Shrimpers all three points against your boys.

West H are deffo not my boys, I quite liked Potts, would work hard.....

I come from a West Ham supporting family so in the past I've not had a problem with them. Like others have mentioned, West Ham fans generally like to see us do well. I've only started to dislike them since Sullivan, Brady and the Olympic stadium. Think it is wrong that so much has been handed to WH on a plate from taxpayers. It is our national game and no team should be getting favours like this from the top

****, I just remembered something - they single-handedly won the World Cup for England in 1966 didn't they. That's surely something we ALL need to be ETERNALLY gratefully to them for, isn't it?

Are you sure?

I'm sure they'd have mentioned it by now.

The stadium rent is only 60k a week...absoulate scandal!

Watched a news piece the other day..the stadium owners are forking out 8 million to re instal the running track this summer!

One good thing though...the pitch is far too big for current Westham players.

Less than that I thought if you just divide £2.5 million by 52 .

However whilst I think the whole way they got stadium stinks the more accurate way to look at it is they are paying £2.5m for 25 days so £100k a game, they arent using it or getting any financial gain from it for the rest of the year.

Either way its awful.

My driving instructor was a West Ham fan and he was a nice bloke. Apart from that, I can't say anything nice about them. I hate the arrogance and entitlement of their fans, I hate that stupid bubbles song (the only song they have), I hate this rubbish about the 'West Ham way' whatever that is, I hate their fans who go to Southend games wearing West Ham colours. I do feel a little bit sorry for them this season (the ones that actually go to games) as they've been taken away from what was a perfectly good stadium and into this glorified athletics stadium with no atmosphere and where they're miles away from the pitch. But I do always enjoy their misfortunes.
