What is hacking you off today?

I had surgery on mine in December. I was expected to be playing again mid-March, but I'm still not. It really isn't healing. I went back to the surgeon who is still confident that the surgery hasn't failed but told me to go back to him if it's still bad in 6 months. It's very frustrating...
How long have you have it LB? What was your treatment before the surgery? I'm still at the strap and physio stage but after 3 months it is no better. Next step is a steroid injection.

I'd had it for months before surgery, but mine was a severe form. From what I understand, most tennis elbow issues are around inflammation of the tendon. I hadn't just inflamed it, I'd torn it away from the bone. It needed to be stitched back.

Before that I'd been given extremely strong anti-inflammatories and had had physio, neither of which worked. However, once it was scanned it became obvious why no treatment had worked and surgery was the only option.

Had both Tennis & Golfers elbow in the 80's. Had steroid injection in both arms at different times. Eventually sorted itself out, but took a few months. And I've never played Tennis or Golf either. Got mine from being a Printer for over 20 years, lifting large stacks of paper, and 'fanning' them out, using my thumb & a couple of fingers, which put a lot of pressure on the areas around my elbows. You have my sympathy.

My ****ing bird murdering moggy. 2 this week, including a huge pigeon that I had the pleasure of watching die in my kitchen after the ****er ripped it apart spraying blood and feathers everywhere. I seriously dislike my cat.

I had darts elbow and cured it by putting on eight stone and wearing open necked short sleeved satin shirts.

Oh dear, hope Mk Jnr wasn't about to witness this

Same with our cat, gets right on my nerves, we've had a variety of dismembered garden birds, mice and even a huge rat displayed on the kitchen floor

Never stops meowing too since our other cat died...

i keep encouraging him to go and find that badger who digs up my lawn, but he won't listen;-)

****ing toothache!! I'm expecting to be told more root canal will be required.

Got to take my daughter for root canal treatment today, she'll be sobbing at the end, she hates dentists - I blame the fact that the one we had when she was growing up was eventually struck off for defrauding the NHS for using antiquated equipment yet claiming for modern, and not using full strength anaesthetic! It's not nice, and doesn't always work either.

Here's one for you all approaching your 55th birthdays......the NHS is now inviting everyone, not long after their birthday, for bowel scope screening. So, a nice neat package turns up at home and I'm thinking, "Oh, did I order something that I've forgotten about?" No, turns out it's the enema you have to administer at home before you go in for the screening :stunned: The big day is tomorrow, and I am NOT looking forward to it in the slightest but couldn't afford not to have it as my mum's had bowel cancer.

Pah, I'd tell them to stick it up their jacksey.

Turns out I don't need root canal I'm having one of my top wisdom teeth out! I'm not sure which is worse. Haven't had a wisdom tooth out so don't know how bad that's going to be.

Vastly better than the pain they will give you while pushing through. There is nothing worse.

I'm in the early stages and it's been pretty painful, I have to wait until the 23rd to have them out.

Pay for an emergency appointment. I wouldn't wish what you have on anyone. Well, there is one person but it isn't you. Seriously, pay for the treatment to get it done quicker.

Have a Vindaloo tonight, and you wont need an enema in the morning!. On a serious note, good for you OBL. As you possibly recollect from my post at Christmas, my 'estranged' wife was diagnosed with that in it's early stages ( she was told she'd had it for some time, but it was slow growing ), she had never done the Bowel scope screening.
Alas it spread to her Liver, which finished her.
