Chatting with fellow fans last night, Steve Kavanagh was mentioned as we questioned what he actually has contributed to the playing success of the club.

What is his actual role, I seem to recall he was responsible for the success on and off the pitch the pitch and in building positive engagement with the supporters. Has he achieved these remits and for those who know more, what kind of job is he doing?

Obviously I know little about what happens behind the scenes but match days, I have only ever seen him strolling about and smiling like a politician. Is he responsible for the financial side at the club whilst Ron organises the new stadium??

I have met with him a number of times, much of the work Steve does goes unnoticed, he genuinely cares in my opinion about the club and it's day to day running. Ron has very little to do with that side of things these days so Steve handles contract negotiations etc....

Like anything though his hands are tied with the financial constraints.

He is another arse licker of RM's....does his job for his wage until he gets ****d off enough to move on as have countless others before. He at the moment sucks Rons arse, nothing more than a wimp employee , for how long we shall see.

Gary Adamson was a great fellow. When you start to lose behind the scenes people like that, the organisation, company, club etc. will only go one way - and we certainly have.

That's really harsh, and I think you're wrong.

That is very harsh indeed. He might not be everyones mate Tara Brady (who lets not forget wasted a fortune on the likes of Dave Martin), but Kavanagh has plenty of experience and can only work with what he has, which is nothing. He isnt there to be fighting against Ron Martin after all.

What is it people expect him to be doing?
