Who should replace bond?

What is the fascination with Tilson; I can partly understand why people are suggesting Barrett, but Tilson has done nothing for years and IMO has absolutely no chance of turning things around!!

I'm not a fan of the idea of Tilson either but I do know he has kept abreast of modern coaching methods with Danny Greaves when they were with C&K ladies. There are a whole list of people I would want above Tilly but if it is a case of money being tight and us not being able to afford much after paying Bond off then I'd take Tilly over sticking with Bond. The training and preparation is rumoured to be terrible at the moment and I think for that reason Tilson would have some chance of turning things around.

But if you add Kiernan and Milligan to that maybe not? These are centrebacks that we seem to want to play as defensive midfielders

Sounds like a lame excuse for a p*** poor performance to me. Those player weren't just turning their backs on Bond....They were turning their backs on the fans.

I don't know your work background but you have hinted about bosses having cosy, lets hear all your views, chats with staff.....It doesn't work in Football. In fact it doesn't work in any job that involves team work or professions that involve crossing the white line.

LOL I build and manage "teams", mentor and support, I could certainly teach Bond a thing or two.

Smacks that no one makes any decisions other than Martin. If I owned Southend, for one I would go on holiday in the summer not when the season has started and then if I did go I would fly back to sort this mess out

Everyone has to buy in to the ethos, athletes, coaches, clubs. That’s always the hardest part BUT you have to demonstrate the advantages of your methods to gain their trust. Bond has no chance of doing that. CP struggled too and to be honest nice guys rarely get results at the top level. You need an edge, an air of authority, respect. Most professional coaches I know that have had the most success were not elite sports people themselves, they are great people managers.

Of course money has to a large extent ruined football and players attitudes often suck !!
