Tilly has said we only wanted Tresor Kandol on loan from leeds for a month so he went to charlton for the rest of the season but then we sign theo robinson for the season

apologies if kandol offer was after robinson signed but i only heard about it recently

more to the point who cares?

Kandol was approached after Robinson yes.

And even if he wasn't, then the point that Robinson is a better player would've helped anyway. ;)

Maybe because it is widely known that Kandol is a donkey and Dean Austin tipped us off about Theo Robinson and we have had him watched?

I would say if we were asked to pay his wages for the loan, then perhaps we could only afford a month.

Or with Laurent back in training, you would assume (hope!) he would be back to match fitness in around a month or so, so probably not worth taking Kandoll for longer?....

Because Kandol, wherever he has been, has been a pain in the arris. His legs have pretty much gone and had he come here for any longer could quite likely have turned out to be another Ricketts.

Robison is young, hungry, and wanting to put himself in the shop window.

Nuff said.

That may be true, but if that were Tilly's thinking he wouldn't have offered to take Kandol at all would he, rather than only wanting Kandol for a month rather than the whole season (which was the question posed in this thread)?
:thump:

In a months time we could have Robinson, Laurent, Barnard, Freedman and Walker all fit. There wouldn't have been much logic in spending yet more money on wages on yet another striker.

My point being a months trial would has given enough time to see what his legs were like, his attitude, his willingness to give his all for SUFC. The word 'trial' kinda gives the reasoning away don't ya think? Trial, as in see if we like and if not, for any reason, get shot of.

:thump: Back at ya.

the touch paper has been lit.......

we can spend forever debating why we didnt attempt to get kandol for longer than a month but its futlie. its didnt happen for good reason. we dont actually need kandol he is rubbish and with theos performace on saturday, it shows southend made the right decsion in who to sign for the longer period.
