Who was the greater Southend legend?

Spent many a night in the Nelson with Percy Hovell, him and Willie playing cards and drinking --- me sitting there sipping lemonade.

When Gary Moore got sent off - I reckon it was against Aldershot. we had played Grimsby on the Monday and got beat 0-1 and Graham Birks got sent off. Then on the Saturday we played Aldershot and won 4-3 after Gary moore and their defender each got sent off for fighting.
Gary Moore was a very useful centre forward at the level he played (div 4 in those days) and scored a lot of goals. he scored on his debut and also scored a fantastic goal at Brenford in 1973, flicking the ball over a defenders head and volleying home. he missed afe mind you!

Heaps better than Coulson
