Work On The New Training Ground Has Started Today 11th July 2022

Hope they're including a new gym, judging by recent photo's the old one is not exactly cutting edge!

Well yes, this is what needs answering, as you say its very unclear. £2m to plant some seed in the middle of a field is a tad unlikely. Even with inflation. So what else is part of this phase?
You'd be surprised mate - £2m doesn't go very far at all when we are talking about top class surfaces with the requisite irrigation systems...not to mention if they are reinforced....
I'm just a tad surprised they are talking about playing on them from October - we are in the middle of the growing season, and that isn't a very long time for them to establish for heavy use. Having said that, I'm not a pitch/sports play specialist - White Horse are, however, very much specialists in this field.

"We are aiming to complete the fourth side ready for the 25/26 season, at which point we will have a state-of-the-art modern new home for the foreseeable future of which we can be proud."
This is one of the best pieces of news from the article, obviously this isn't a firm commitment, but I hadn't seen it stated before that we would be looking to complete the fourth side within a year of moving in. That's excellent news.

The domes are meant to be placed almost next to the stadium itself. Just off "supporters way" which is our version of Wembley Way, leading to the stadium from Sutton Road.
Are these Domes in good condition and fit to put up ? They were purchased back in 2014 and if left in the open rust may have set in . Hopefully someone has retained the instruction manual on how to erect them. I would think the cost of erection would be over the £1m mark - it is a huge job but the whole community will have use of one of them so that's good.

What do you get for 2 millon these days .I would have thought the new training ground would have cost a lot more than that .But as normal we will have to wait and see .Unless someone from the club is going to tell the fans what is on offer .

Aren’t they meant to left in the open being an outdoor structure? I get your point, it’s more had anything key be misplaced that will cost far more when trying to erect it

They’re literally made for the outside

If it's anything like my home DIY projects then there's bound to be a missing Allen key.

At least there seems to be real progress here, let's hope this has a snowball effect on the remaining phases
