Breaking News WUP Court Hearing - 4th October- Case Dismissed.

Bad Beat

Schoolboy
Apologies if this has already been posted elsewhere, but for anyone looking to attend court on 4th October, there is now a rail strike planned for that day.

Check GA C2C apps nearer the day - so far GA strikes have been relatively non events, often a few hours later start to service and an earlier finish, but pretty frequent trains between these times - will depend on what union is striking

Hadn't seen the strike days.
Thanks for the heads up.
I can stay in London on 3rd. Tube should be OK..

Tell me about it!
Spent two hours last night trying to work a way to get from the Hall on Oct 3 back to London in order to catch the late National Express bus back to west Cornwall: it can't be done.
Looked at the possibility of an hotel in the Victoria area in order to catch a bus the following morning: £250 a room to you, sir! Right...
I don't suppose any of the Devon/Cornwall cohort like @Rob Noxious, @CornishShrimper, @cornwall blues, @cornwallaubs are planning to get the jalopy out should it be the last match?

Hi Paul - I'll be staying over in the Southend area that night.

Hotel in Southend, train/coach back the following day? If previous strikes are anything to go by there will be a service from Southend to London on the 4th - but probably won't be confirmed until the weekend or Monday before

Southend are due to appear in court on Tuesday. Basildon Magistrates.

Are you sure it’s the magistrates court? Unless we’re adopting Jeff Bezos as owner or divorcing Ron Martin it doesn’t seem to be the place!

Although sometimes I think more serious things need a cursory hearing there first before being referred to a higher court.

(Probably the wrong thread for this discussion too!)

Court lists aren't published till tomorrow, so how are you sure of this? It does seem an odd place when everything else has been at the High Court, and, of course, it could be Ron himself and not the club - motoring offences would be at the mag, wouldn't they? Maybe the Bentley's about to be made redundant again.
