Would like to hear what people say about Prosser. As our resident expert seems to think he is our problem.

Prosser wasn't the problem at the centre of defence today Thompson was, he didn't win anything in the air, he was weak and he was slow, not impressed with him so far

Many will say we deserved to win today and in terms of possession and actual football played its hard to disagree. But there were a few negatives for me and the size of our squad is one of those. Another negative is our inability to defend set pieces. ...shocking and needs working on asap. I dont want to make this an anti straker thing but he was awful today simply awful. We desperatly need some pace up top. If we want to win football matches we need a decent partner for prosser, Thompson just not ready.

Bentley 6 nothing to do apart from pick the ball out the net

White 6.5 done ok

Prosser 7 done well over all

Thompson 6 just not ready for it

Coker 6.5 done ok tried to overlap

Atkinson 6 worked hard if nothing else

Leonard 7 played well didnt deserve to lose today

Clifford 6 bit of a non starter really

Straker 4

Eastwood 7 took goal well and tried to get things going up top

Corr 5.5 really ineffective

Hurst see corr

Reid see corr

Payne see corr

Wycombe are poor make no mistake I would give there keeper MOM
Overall we were the better side but the important issues of defending set pieces and taking our chances were not there.
I would also question why timlin isnt playing more........

Interesting what you say about Straker. BP commentary seemed to suggest he didn't do much wrong all afternoon and had a good game?

Should have won, had enough more than enough chances so its hard to be too disappointed with that part of the game. Ingram in goal was very impressive for them and Doherty won everything in the air - even coped with Corr's physicality with relative ease.
Set plays are the main concern today though. Can't get away with individuals losing their men and expect not to concede. Overall, more positives than negatives.

Your not quite seeing my point are you. It was a dig at a member not at Prosser.

Is there starting to be an issue with BBBC up front??? Saw him against both Northampton and Chesterfield......largely ineffective, apart from slagging the referee off. Doesn't sound, from early reports, that he was particularly good today....
............hopefully Barna's not right. I don't know whether we have the luxury of having a striker off form for a series of games. Is PB's style of football not suiting him???

I've said all season we have little creativity in the midfield. Two of our better players from last season were Timlin(until injured) and hurst. We need them on the pitch. How straker gets ahead of either of them is a mystery. Straker has done ok at the start when hurst and Timlin were unavailable, but he has had his time at starting. Must sign another striker as well. Yes we've made an ok start to the season but lacking goals is proving as much of a problem as defending. No need to panic but certainly two disappointing Saturdays after a promising start.

Hi All, Can anyone tell me why Payne was preferred to Timlin this afternoon. Has the Manager got something against Timlin. In the situation of this afternoons game I would have thought Timlin would have been a better option in order to secure a point or three. Again I am not a ardent fan of Straker and from the reports he missed another excellent chance of scoring but missed. Surely Atkinson and Hurst on the wings with Timlin and Leonard in the middle would give a better balance to the side. I agreed we need a strong quick and pacey forward to create space and movement for Eastwood to take advantage of

Yep,sounds like Straker has reverted back to type. We should be playing a starting midfield of Atkinson, Leonard, Timlin & Hurst henever possible until Laird is fit again. Clifford seems to be more of a squad player who needs to start on the bench leaving Straker as bench/pre bench.

First game i've seen this season. Straker hopeless and a horrible miss to top it off. Neither of back two inspired confidence from set pieces and Prosser gave a needless free kick away for the first. Otherwise not bad, nice passing movement for our goal and reasons to be cheerful.

Played some nice stuff on places, but generally not on the second ball quick enough
Great move for the goal
Couldn't believe Strakers miss.
This was a very winnable game. At 1 each i thought we go on to win it.
Just spoke to my mate who said that He saw Prosser afterwards sporting a cut under a black eye from
