I wouldn't call it stunning, yes he took it well, but didn't really hit it accurately. Nevertheless it ended up where he intended, so pleased at the outcome. Great crosses though for all the goals. Was Francis' one for Gower a shot or a cross?

But I wasn't disagreeing really, just over the use of the word "stunning"! He did take it well and we do look a much better side with him in it.

A couple of things I noted...

Mulgrew seems to be a good dead ball specialist, great free kick onto the head of Clarke for the second goal.

For all Gower's bad games, he has now scored 8 goals from his position on the wing, equalling his tally for last year. Not a bad scoring record for a winger!!

A couple of things I noted...

Mulgrew seems to be a good dead ball specialist, great free kick onto the head of Clarke for the second goal.

For all Gower's bad games, he has now scored 8 goals from his position on the wing, equalling his tally for last year. Not a bad scoring record for a winger!!

The commentator mentions that Gower has 8 league goals this year, had to check the stats on OS to make sure he was right.

Gower isn't doing it for me this season, but he's got to be in the side for his goals alone.

Terrible decision, but Owusu spent all game whining every time he didn't agree with a decision so I have no sympathy for him.

Plus it's time we got our own back on him, he's one of those players who always scores against Southend (e.g. those 2 hat-tricks for Brentford & the off his shin scuff in the league match at RH a few weeks back)!!!

they were both excellent deliveries from Francis and Mulgrew. tough to defend both of those me thinks.

Gowers recent form has been poor but he has had good games this year, just hasnt been as consistent.

Thing is he has the talent and we know he can get on top of his game again and if that starts now when we really need him all the better.

only if we dont get that linesman again he was poor and blind most of time
especially when the whole went over the line and allowed play to carry on

Slow it may have been but exactly the same as shown on the BW match highlights & for naff all.

Compare this with BW on the OS.

Match Highlights - In the last month there have been the 6 match highlights, which are as brief as possible & exactly the same feed as Virgin's free service for the last couple at least (which are the only 2 I've seen). I can't remember the last time we has the extended highlights that were a fairly regular feature of the previous couple of seasons.

TV News - Since Lee Barnard's arrival on 25/1, i.e. again 1 month exactly, a total of 4 items, whoopie fecking doo!. So not even 1 interview per game. Not even the usual player interviews post match. We've had

7/2 - Anthony Grant on his move
7/2 - Tilly pre match Hartlepool
9/2 - Tilly post match Hartlepool
21/2 - Tilly pre match Yeovil

Radio News - What's the last piece? A rip off of BBC Swindon with a Billy the Painter interview from 31/8! FFS.

Either I'm logging on at the wrong times & the club are deleting stuff before I see it or they are ripping me off. I know which one I believe!

So can any exiles who rely on BW confirm if I'm missing loads of player, Brushy & Tilly interviews, extended game highlights, even reserve feeds as in previous seasons.

It was a poor decision, but I couldn't believe Owusu's reaction to it, you'd have thought he'd just been denied a dead-cert penalty in the FA cup final. If he had spent less time on his knees and more time getting back goal side to help his defence out, we might not have scored from that.
