On a serious note, there's a perception that the immigrant underclass has been bumped up the housing register; and, in any event, there's a natural tendency to wonder why we're not looking after "our own" better than those who arrive on these shores.

Besides, there aren't as many non-white underclass as white underclass; and the former aren't likely to vote BNP any time soon.

True true , didnt we have someone on here little while ago who works in the housing system who said that was twaddle anyway ??

Yes one man's views, but a man that was leader of the Lib Dems at the time. How will the party system change if PR is adopted? People will still, like as not want to vote on party lines. Although voters can/will get a second preference.
