Official Match Thread Oxford V Southend United

People really need a reality check. it's the second league game. First game the ref mugged us off and their keeper was on form massively. We had 4 or 5 good chances and the keeper pulled off top drawer saves.

Tonight Timlin was very harshly sent off by another bad refereeing decision. Going down to 10 men means a hell of a lot of chasing and hassling ot try and get the ball. This leaves gaps and will give the opposition chances to score. Gavin Tomlin ran himself ragged trying to close the ball down.

If it was a week before the end of the season and we were bottom, then is the time to be moaning. What we need to be doing now is getting behind the team. There should be no blame apportioned or moaning because we haven't got a point yet.

Agree with what you say, but what on earth did the ref do on Saturday ?

We were undone by our own finishing in that one.

I wonder how many posters on this forum are going to say were going to get relegated now. Probably more than half.

Not too much wrong with our finishing Saturday, apart from Kane's efforts. Great goalkeeping. The ref made a hatful of terrible decisions on Saturday

Tomlin missed two sitters, the effort at the end was woeful.

Dont really remember the ref making any decisions that affected the game to be honest.

I just hope the last four games haven't dented moral around the squad, they aren't far off being able to get some points on the board, think Sturrock just needs to find his best side and we get a bit of luck maybe. Two wingers would be useful.
