.......and Yorkie does a Barna :winking:
Granted Alli played well.Whether or not he'll do anything special in France remains to be seen.
I wonder if he'll even make the squad when everyone's fit.
Indeed, in midfield there is probably space for 10 players in the squad (of 23. Assuming 3 keepers, 4 strikers, 10 midfielders, 6 defenders)
Fighting for a seat on the plane:
Black = definite (if fit)
Green = likely
Orange = fighting
Red = Unlikely
Fabian Delph
Michael Carrick
James Milner
Alex Oxlade Chamberlain
Andros Townsend
Jack Wilshere
Jordan Henderson
Tom Cleverley
Eric Dier
Dele Alli
Ross Barkley
Raheem Sterling
Jonjo Shelvey
Ryan Mason
Jesse Lingard
Adam Lallana
Theo (could go as a striker)
It's not just Alli, we just called up Jesse Lingard, who's made just 3 Premier League appearances - and one of those was as sub.
Alli may be a good player (and whilst it was a promising start it's early days) but it's pretty shocking that a player only has to make 3 premier league appearances to "earn" a call up.
I was impressed with Eric Dier. He looks like a player.
Why is Milner a definite?
And I see Lallana as very much on the fringes.
The only definite I see in there is Sterling.

Milner is versatile (but not particularly brilliant). he can play and cover a number of positions and you wouldn't necessarily be worried about him starting. I'm sure that Roy will take him if he's fit.
Woy might not be worried if Milner is in the starting line-up, but I would be:'(
Keith Dublin was also versatile and I'd like to think he wasn't in the mix-up for an England call-up.
What would your first choice team be, right now?
If you pick Dele Alli then I'm calling you out!
Oxlaide-Chamberlain as a central midfielder? Much more of a threat and less of a liability defensively out wide.For the Euros?
Assuming people are fit and playing well probably something like
Hart
Walker Stones Cahill Shaw
Wilshire
Henderson The Ox
Rooney Sterling
Kane
The only three nailed on for me are Rooney, Sterling and Hart, otherwise it's all up for grabs.
