Looks as though the management team will have to put in a shift on the pitch also if no one is bought this week? Whats Stanley Collymore up too?:winking:

"It seems to me that the club want to get the whole managerial team sorted before announcing Powell. But time is running out to bring in new players, that's my main worry."

still speculation though :winking:

If Chis Powell has been offered the job and accepted (even if its subject to one or two niceties) then there is no reason why he would not already identifying targets so as not lose time.

Dean Austin would be a very solid number two.

Sounds painful to me

I wont reveal sources either but my u understanding is Powell has accepted the job. Dean Austin will be his assistant. Or at least that's the plan.
I also wouldn't be surprised if Tilly is in the mix but that's me making some logical connections.

I'd expect there to be a big bang announcement.

I hope it's quick.

If they could all bring their boots and willing to sign playing contracts we might have a chance to avorder the drop.

"Powell has not been approached yet"

So! That's all sorted then.

I have broadly heard similar. Would be very happy with Austin on board too.

The New manager will be.....................................the guy who's face magically appears above on the Shrimperzone banner.

Dean Austin was first team coach of Watford when they got promoted to the prem and stayed there for a long time by Watford standards. Apparently he's very highly regarded so I'd be buzzing if he was involved

I'm more worried about who's replacing Brian "Nobby" Horton :stunned:
Did we ever find out what he actually did in his time here ?

I understand Powelly has picked his first side :-

Cox
Coker Ba Kightly Fortune
McLaughlin Turner Oxley Wright
Kyprianou Demetriou

I'm a bit concerned that he hasn't quite got to grips with the job yet!
