Embarrassing. Bottled it at 2-1. Fans looked stupid....We lost. That was our big chance. Not a chance of going up next season. Need 3 CB's, a new right back, 3 new strikers and a new keeper once Bentley moves out. Mid table at best next season.
Fans looked stupid? Being on the pitch you mean?

new record lowest attendance at Wembley coming up

Leonard clothes lined, Corr wrestled to the floor by the suicide bomber....the list goes on. Burton are a bunch of cheating thugs who got the better of a very weak ref who was conned time and time again. They time wasted from the 1st minute and the ref waited until the 70th minute to book one of their players for it. Had he done it early doors, then who knows. Every time the keeper made a save, he stayed on the floor for 20 secs cuddling the ball.

That isn't football

Least those fans moaning about "Wembley fans" and asking where they were at "rubbish northern team" away on a Tuesday can go back to supporting a club without a buzz and poor home attendances.

Not sure which club you mean, Southend?

Sounds like sour grapes to me DWB,

Burton are at Wembley we are not,None of our strikers seem remotely able to score and that is the main reason we are remaining in this division.

Yep. No need for it. Pitch invasions for good occasions not any occasion. Let the players have a walk off and think about how they have let the club down again.

Were you there today? The tactics of Burton were the same as last week. It's not proper football

Yes Southend. People moan at "glory hunters" when we are doing well. Think some are happy when it is back to the exclusive 5K attendances. That'll be back next season. Mid table for us.

This 100%.
Burtons tactics were to get the ball into dangerous areas then cheat for a foul, this was succussfull seeing as they scored only from set plays. Their tactics were better than our predictable rubbish which was get it wide or thump it long and hope.
Couldn't believe the subs made by Brown!

I had the best seat in front of the telly even though I had purchased tickets.

Burton played to their strengths and did a job on us,Over the 2 games we failed to score in three halves.

Not quite sure how you arrive at that analysis, but I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion.

P.S.
Although Burton were 'clever' in the way they played the game, some of their time wasting antics were a little embarrassing. I have no shame in saying that I hope Fleetwood stuff them in the final!

Why ? Do you want to play Burton again next season ?

Another year in this **** division...............and it wasn't a difficult year to get promotion. Next season I reckon Luton and improving Portsmouth are going to provide a big threat.......automatic promotion may not be that easy.

Completely agree with this - and potentially the relegated sides could feature as well

r u having a laugh . we have been in leaguw 2 for 4 seasons now going to be 5. we are a league 2 club m8 we gotta except it .
Are you drunk or can you just not spell? We played well today, if Brown stays we will be challenging again next season, hopefully Leonard stays loyal, can see a few clubs potentiallly sniffing around him.

Hes only 8 years old, so he is drunk and he can't spell

Couldn't make it to the game today so was watching on Sky, really not sure why Burton are being accused of cheating, they time wasted but we would have done the exact same thing if we were leading. The ref on the other hand got a lot of calls wrong today, including the free kick that led to their second goal (Leonard was fouled a few seconds before Hurst gave away the free kick)

too many points dropped after the Hull game didn't help, no wins in 13 matches is just not good enough and it should have been dealt with, can't just bemoan about two matches at the end of the season.....should have done better over the other 46 and we wouldn't have been in this position, Points given away at home has cost us to clubs lower in the league and we know we should have been beating these sides..........and also no real striker hasn't helped this season

Can't believe how lucky their 2nd goal was, a clearance just bounced off the back of the blokes head, and fell perfectly. This sort of thing is just plan bad luck.
