I'm about 3/4 way through The Dark Tower, the 7th book in The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.
It's been slow going as I normally read 10 or so pages at night as its the only bl00dy time I get to myself during the day.
3 years to get this far in the whole series, can't wait to get to the end although I will be a little sad.

When I heard they were making it into a film I couldn't wait.
Then I found out Idris Elba was cast as Roland, the main protagonist. Can't stand the bloke, too cocky & full of himself by far IMO.
Quite disappointed as the book portrays Roland as a more grizzled, older Clint Eastwood type, not a 6 foot 3 massive black guy.
I hate it when Hollywood employs a liberal sprinkling of artistic licence to totally skew the original, but hopefully Randall Flagg will kill him early doors...:winking:.

Wind Through the Keyhole is a very enjoyable addition to that series too

The 40th anniversary of 2000AD is coming up. Bought the very first issue, with the free "space spinner" in my young hands.

Stuff like "I am the law....perp", makes Blake and Wordsworth pale in comparison.

Jealous - didn't start until Prog 13. Strontium Dog - the absolute bollocks.

The Age of Revolution: Europe 1789–1848

by Eric Hobsbawm

it took me a while to get into coz I find he's not an easy writer to get on with but once I got used to it i'm enjoying it and finding it much easier to get into.

love a bit of history so it's intersting

Europe Isn't Working by Larry Elliott and Dan Atkinson.
I thought as Brexit is happening, like it or not, I might as well read something on the subject. So far it's mainly about why the Euro is/was a bad idea.

after reading some pretty heavy stuff I've been enjoying reading for fun.

First was The Strange Death of English Leg Spin by Justin Parkinson
now reading The Sleeper Awakes by H G Wells (again).

both decent
