The People.(The Rise and Fall of the Working Class.1910-2010).Selina Todd.

Fascinating read and perhaps an appropriate one, on the day that (white) working class voters are being widely tipped to give both the Tories and Labour a good kicking.

Shadows of Sounds - Alex Grey - Lorimar#3 - I'm reading these in order & the characters are developing along nicely.

Racing Through The Dark by David Millar - golden boy of British cycling busted for taking drubs and his journey back from the depths. Won plenty of gongs so I have high hopes and so far, so good.

Try seven deadly sins by David Walsh - all about Lance Armstrong - riveting

James Patterson, what is all the hype about? Tried two of his books now, first one given up on after about 150 or so pages and about to do the same on the one I'm reading. Really don't rate him at all.

Take your point read a couple that were good - (The Alex Cross ones ) & some not so - I quite like his short chapter style -even if the book is not too good you can whizz through 'em.
What books are you not reading?

Try seven deadly sins by David Walsh - all about Lance Armstrong - riveting

Read SDS at the start of the year. Enjoyable, but Walsh did come across as a bit of a prick as well.

Loads of cracking cycling books around - three particular favourites are "We Were Young and Carefree" by Laurent Fignon, "Bad Blood" by Jeremy Whittle and "Roule Britannia" by William Fotheringham.

Motty's Diary from Euro 2004.

Easy enough read. Talks about running in the marathon between Jimmy Saville and Alistair Campbell.

But more interestingly, his personal trainer, is former Spurs and Palace defender Dean Austin.

Oh and Rooney is only 17 and full of promise...

:winking:

Finished Neil Warnock book - he ain't so bad.
Now reading Jo Nebo Police - latest Harry Hole book. Excellent as usual.

A Game of Thrones ~ George RR Martin. Loved it.
Neurocomic ~ Drs Farinella & Ros. Graphic Novel about how the brain works, good stuff.
Learning Linocut ~ Susa Yates. Helpful.

Now starting 'The Sagas of Icelanders' in anticipation of our trip to Iceland in a couple of weeks.
