Anyone see him arriving in Colombia with the England Under 20s and being greeted by samba dancing police - hilarious!!

By the way, he's huge!!

Yes i saw this and googled him ... The fee could rise to 250k, do we have any of that yet?

A bit old but an interesting article none the less:

http://www.aliverpoolthing.com/2010/11/lad-can-play-michael-ngoo.html

Probably fan guesswork on the reason why he didn't sign for Man Utd, but wonder if there's any truth in it? Interesting if we were holding out for a good fee for the lad and Utd weren't up for it.

Also I wonder if we've got any chance of a loan deal for the lad. Seems to be doing well at Liverpool.

Ngoo has just signed for Hearts on loan till the end of the season. Be interesting to see how he gets on.

Could go straight into their team for tomorrows game. Will be keeping an eye on that.

Interesting quote from that article.

"He's come from a big football club," added McGlynn. "Liverpool paid a bit of money for him so they have high hopes for him.

Depending on what they mean by a 'bit of money', sounds like they at least paid a decent amount (£100k+?)

Is that Ngoo and Theo Robinson up front together playing against Richie Foran?

EDIT: No it's a different Robinson. Still, good impact from Ngoo.

Seemed to do all right according to the Beeb:
'Debutant Michael Ngoo, who was earlier denied by the post, volleyed the leveller before Hearts' Scott Robinson was dismissed for a reckless tackle.

A wonderfully open first period very nearly got the goal it deserved at the other end. Wilson again ventured forward to good effect, sending an inviting ball into the box for Ngoo to attack. The striker rose well to glance a header beyond Reguero, only for the ball to come back off the post.

Ngoo continued to pose an aerial threat for the Jambos and the Englishman thought he had a good penalty claim, but referee Euan Norris allowed play to continue after the striker's cross appeared to rebound off Ross Draper's arm.

Ngoo was using his considerable physical presence to good effect and, on 65 minutes, he hauled his side level. A Hearts free-kick caused Inverness problems and Danny Wilson nodded the ball back across goal where Ngoo was lurking to smash home a thunderous volley.'

Be interesting to see how he does over the next few weeks. Great start for the lad.

If Celtic get past St. Mirren tomorrow then will be quite a sight seeing Ngoo line up against Hooper with one guarenteed to win.

And from The Guardian:
'Fittingly, given his prominence, it was Ngoo who came the closest to breaking the first-half parity. From Wilson's cross, the Ngoo headed off the inside of an Inverness post.

Hearts displayed admirable spirit to recover from that blow. Mullen's free-kick was knocked across goal and into Ngoo's path by Wilson; the forward volleyed beyond Reguero from close range.

Ngoo Fee Due??

Saw the young lad Ngoo has gone on loan to Hearts and scored on his debut! As part of his transfer are we not entitled to some more money now from Liverpool as he has gone onto make his first senior appearance? Or have we only got a sell on percentage.

Think you'll find there's already a thread on that in ex-Shrimpers where it's been/being discussed...certainly hope we're due something!
