If Brown goes, who next?

Be fair,

The second level was too much for us and relegation from league 1 was an injustice to Steve as that team were hardly paid and vastly under strength .

He failed at Lincoln and after Canvey noone wants him, unless Brush came back with Tilly I'd be aprehensive about having him, some managers need their assistant manager with them for things to gel, I think without Brush Tilson might struggle. From what I've heard though he's quite happy at SEEVIC since he doesn't have to worry about being sacked every week so there's a lot less pressure on him and he wouldn't really want another job in management.

Alan Devonshire for me, seems to be doing good things at Braintree, we're his next step up the ladder if he wants to

"Don't forget the LDV finals and Eastwood in his prime and 10,000 crowds at the hall"

How many, exactly?

Justin Edinburgh would be my choice, he still have family's and own house in Chelmsford and live on his own in Newport, if SUFC offered him a job, he would pack his bag and move back to Essex!

I would have loved Chris Powell had he not got the 'Udders job. Sean O'Driscoll would do a good job. But hopefully Brown will stay.

Or in Tilly's case, two successive relegations. Those asking for him back are seriously deluded!

Exactly this.

Anyone who blames Tilson for either relegation is the one seriously deluded.

He then took on a job at Lincoln who were already struggling without any resources

Good to see the Manageress getting some well deserved votes.

Only us Old Uns who remember her and thought at the time 'I Would'

Now we think 'I Would if I remember How'

Please believe me when I say that my vote had nothing to do with appearance but with knowledge of the game and head to head record

For purposes of identification I added pictures of both Cherie and Phil pictured in their leisure wear :-)

I wouldn't blame him for the league one relegation. His hands were tied and the players disillusioned with not being paid and the club was in crisis. I guess I am deluded though as I think he has to take some of the blame for relegation from the championship especially as the other promoted teams, Colchester and Barnsley stayed up with similar budgets to ours.

As for Lincoln, when they beat us 2-1 in March there were no relegation worries whatsoever. If I remember correctly their wasn't much difference between us in terms of points and they were like us, comfortably in mid-table. Tilson then inspired them to 10 defeats and two draws in their last 12 games and got them relegated from nowhere. Ask any Lincoln fan what they think of Tilson and whos to blame

How did Col U do the next season?

As for Lincoln, the only reason they were midtable at that point was because he pulled them out of the relegation zone.

I will always defend Tilly because he in my time was the greatest manager here and those memories will never ever leave me.

TILSON TRUE LEGEND !

Plus I agree with you:smile:
