Breaking News Isaac Hutchinson completes move to Derby County

good luck to the lad ,i hope he goes on to fulfill his potential and have a long decent career .Be as best you can be mate ,dont set yourself limits ,reach for the stars .

Really pleased for the lad to finally get away from some of the abusive bellends we seem to have supporting this club.

Anyone that doesn’t wish him success is an idiot because his success earns us more money. He did nothing wrong at this club and had a torrid time under Sol. Hopefully with the right coaching and experienced players around him his career will flourish!

Good luck Isaac!

Blimey that Phillip Cocu and Wayne Rooney must be clueless if good old “shrimpet Steve” is seeing things they can’t ??

Ever thought of a career in elite football recruitment Steve?

Out of curiosity did Cocu and Rooney personally watch Isaac before the signing do you know OllieSteph ? That would be impressive. Or is recruitment down to some kind of specialist scout at a club like Derby ? I think we heard David Pleat came to have a look at Kelman for Spurs before their bid.

If you swapped Peter Butler or Steve Tilson for Hutchinson v Harrowgate, then neither of them would have looked any good in their prime.....Now put them in the centre of that midfield aged 20 and you would have the same embarrassing posts by the same embarrassing people......Well maybe not because back then, when they were 20. Young lads of 14 were more interested in becoming one of the boys in the North Bank and would show absolute loyalty to their own young players.

Still I cant blame 14 year olds, they just follow badly set examples. The stuff on here is sadly reflected in all aspects of our lives.....In the "new normal' world

For those of you who are way to keen to dismiss Isaac Hutchinson. No one is claiming he is the finished article or ready for the Championship but the truth is the sneering few know this but they have used it as a straw man argument.

As it happens I have met Isaac and his brother away from football. Both nice young lads who were training hard in the summer of lockdown.... So when they reported back they could be up near the top of fitness tests, rather than offer lame "no preseason" excuses.

When he spent time training and trialling with Derby they must have seen the same qualities in a young man that I could see......They sign people on character as well as ability....What a shame that due to a long string of some bizarre circumstances we haven't had the chance to see Isaac progress as he, more than any of you, would have wanted.....He now has that chance. He has earned that from years of sacrifice and hard work. So good luck to him, our failure should not be heaped on him or any other young player.

The abuse Isaac dad got on here and Twitter was unbelievable, and especially in a pub after Dover defeat by so called Southend fans.
I wish them both well.
Sadly so called supporters have lost another potential player who could have been the backbone of the club, still positive news they can can now turn their venom to another kid after todays game

Some might wonder why higher level clubs look at so called “not good enough” players like Bishop, Kelman and Hutchinson and it’s as much about their attitude and application in the gym and on the training ground. Their desire to improve. This sets them apart, ultimately it doesn’t matter one bit what fans think. It’s almost like some want these young people to fail, just so they can say “I told you so”. I hope they all go on to have successful careers.

See you later on the Derby forum.

Have fun.
You can’t be honest on here.....they’ve recruited a team of snowflake traffic wardens in the last year!

No you can be honest on here it's just that you don't like it when someone challenges your opinion with reasoned debate. Think that makes you the snowflake.

It's becoming a real problem in our society.

Nothing to do with challenging my opinion actually, couldn’t care less what other people think.
It’s the constant you can say this word, can’t say that word......getting very similar to the pathetic Britain’s got talent , the Alisha and Ashley Banjo show!

What's wrong with Alisha and Ashley Banjo?

I’ve certainly never abused the man however I will stand by this. He was part of the worst Southend side I’ve seen in 39 years, didn’t seem too bothered and is totally lightweight in the centre of the park. How we’ve actudlly got money for him and he’s got up two leagues I’ll never know but I wish the boy the best of luck of course.

will I boo him?. No. Will I sing his name or shake his hand in the players lounge?, absolutely not as I will always associate him and others with the misery we’re currently going through in terms of team performance.

What about a fist pump?

I think Derby will ease him into things and he will play mostly under 23 games this season which will help his recovery from the pressure he has been under playing in league 1/2. His younger brother Jake signed a two year pro contract with us in June so hopefully he will be just as good!

So to conclude.

Some think he is ****
Some think he will be a world beater
Some don’t know
Some think he has been unlucky
Some think he is the reason we’ve been unluck/shlt

No one will be convinced either way.

It probs somewhere in the middle of all of that.

But all I assume hopes he does well and we can earn some more £££ in the future.

They beat Leicester U23 2-1 looks like he got 65 minutes.

A couple of Quotes from the Derby Forum from last nights U23 game, early days of course, but he does seem to have created a positive impression on his first outing.

Ebosele and Archie Brown are absolute ballers. Should be around the first team later this season if they keep playing like this.
Ola Ibrahim is a great prospect too. Still 16? He will hopefully go very far.
Thought Hutchinson did alright for saying he's probably not even learnt the names of his team mates, let alone how they like to play.

Rambalin

Decent start for Hutchinson some promising moments to build on can see why he is worth a punt.

You will have differing opinions on every player, I doubt there is a player that everyone thinks the same about. I mean someone thinks Adam Barrett was overrated

It would be pretty boring if we all had the same opinion. What isn’t ok is the abuse towards the player and his father who rightly was protecting his son.

His move to their under 23s shows just how lacking our squad, and perilous our situation, is. We were looking to him to spark something for us in league 2, when they want him in their yourh ranks to potentially come good. We could be doing that but instead we need to ship him out to get journeyman in to stabilise our sinking ship. The rudeness about him and all the ‘I’ll drive him there myself’ attitude stems from how angry and frustrated we are that we’ll most likely be out the FL by the time Ron pulls his finger out of his aris and sorts out our umbungo. Poisonous all round. Happy Saturday, let’s hope for a point eh? Good luck MM, you are a brave man taking this on ?
