I have always tried to look at thinks from both sides and at times backed Ron when others have different opinions but this has really done it for me and that won’t be happening again. Ron can f*** right off. I was started to really look forward to what the future can bring and now we can already say we will be utter sh*t next season. Ron do the right thing and pick up the phone to Stan, apologise and for once do something that the fans will absolutely love. GIVE HIM THE JOB AND TAKE A STEP BACK. Next is will be our retained list coming out and all the crappy players from last year getting a pay rise and a 5 year contract!

So the manager has said he wants a direct line to the chairman and so Ron changes the role he wants Stan to take and instead of negotiating he throws his toys out of the pram again. Don't know what he would have done if he had to deal with players agents.

So precisely what has been achieved? Thought SC was in for the long term and prepared to support the club regardless. Very very disappointed to say the least.

It’s not a negotiation if an agreement has already been made. It just shows Ron to be complete inept as business dealings for the club - something we all already knew.

There will be no CEO announced, something else we all already knew.

Well that’s my mortgage safe. I knew this would happen. New CEO (if there is actually one) will be Ron’s other probably cheaper option, and nothing will change. Is it possible to hate someone you don’t actually know personally?

Only thing to do now is hit it when it hurts Ron. Don’t turn up to games don’t buy anything from club shop. If the club folds then start a Phoenix club. I knew this was going to happen. Absolute joke I’m done.

I really don’t see any surprise or shock here.
As I said on an earlier thread , PB ( actually not just PB but several managers ) are not likely to want a CEO AND another layer ( whatever the role Stan agreed to ) involved in the running of the club.
I don’t blame Stan in anyway but neither do I blame PB - it’s one layer too many IMO.
I get the impression that Ron is trying to play or please too many people here.

So disappointing but ultimately so predictable. This club will never completely change while Ron is in charge and Stan was never going to have the staying power to put up with the bumps in the road. A shame, as you would have thought he would have liked to see it all the way through to substantial change. This could have been a brilliant project for everyone involved.

We still have Phil Brown and Ricky Duncan, let’s get behind them. ?

If a CEO is appointed shortly then I would still say you’ve had a massive impact to deliver change.

If anyone on here goes to any home games next season then shame on you all. Away games to show support yes but home games then your just helping Ron. He needs to leave failing that make it difficult for him to get the planning or what ever it is. He’s a clown and needs to be stopped. I’ve had enough of this nonsense.

I can almost guarantee that Phil Brown was the one who decided he didn’t want someone else having a say in the footballing side of the club.

It makes sense, he’s cutting out a potential “no you shouldn’t spend £3500 per week on X as he’s 33 with an injury record longer than my forearm”.

Amazing that a manager who has been permanent for a week has that level of control. We need a club structure above PB as we learned last time. This should have been Ron’s decision to make.

Me too. Back to plan B and watching Manor.

If I am going to pay to watch non league football might as well pay £5 over Southchurch park.

SUFC until I die but I am not going to financially support a chairman and manager I don't believe in.

Maybe one day our club will learn from past mistakes? Until then we will continue to keep looking and moving backwards.

Its situations like this where Ronald goes back on his word ( after shaking hands etc ) that the clubs reputation is in the gutter at present, whether that be ex staff, ex players, agents etc. If he was not 100% behind his commitment to Stan, then he should have simply stated he would continue to think over any decisions.
